Celera is focused on discovering associations between genetic variations and disease. With this information, we intend to develop diagnostic products that provide medically relevant information for physicians and patients. Such tests may help physicians better predict, diagnose, monitor and treat some of today’s significant health problems.

Most importantly, Celera combines this advanced research infrastructure with the ability to manufacture commercial products. From product development to full-scale GMP manufacturing and from clinical studies to regulatory submissions, Celera is staffed with experienced leaders in the diagnostics industry.

Celera has established an industrial-scale facility for high volume genotyping and gene expression analysis. This facility employs more than 50 Applied Biosystems high-throughput ABI PRISM® 7900 HT Sequence Detection Systems to analyze more than one million genotypes per day. These efforts are supported by highly advanced bioinformatics and statistical genetics capabilities necessary to identify genetic patterns linked to disease.
