Current | 2007 | 2006 | 2005 | 2004 | 2003 | 2002 | 2001 | 2000 Celera Genomics Signs Five Academic Institution to the Celera Discovery System Rockville, MD - July 19, 2001 Celera Genomics (NYSE: CRA), an Applera Corporation business, announced today it signed multi-year agreements with University of Alabama at Birmingham, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Oxford in England, and Pennington Biomedical Research Center at Louisiana State University, which allows these investigators access to Celera’s database products. The subscribers will access Celera's database information and research tools through its Celera Discovery System™. The University of Texas Health Science Centers at Houston and San Antonio, and the University of Texas Medical Branch now also have access to the Celera databases as part of the existing University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas subscription deal signed with Celera in July 2000. Financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed. The Celera Discovery System is an integrated, web-based platform that enables users to leverage Celera’s computational tools, super-computing power, and the genomic and biological data to advance the discovery process for researchers worldwide.
