Celera Genomics and Celera Diagnostics to Webcast Presentation at SG Cowen Healthcare Conference

ROCKVILLE, MD and ALAMEDA, CA - March 08, 2005

Applera Corporation announced today that the Celera Genomics Group (NYSE:CRA) and Celera Diagnostics, a joint venture of Celera Genomics and Applera's Applied Biosystems Group (NYSE:ABI), will webcast its presentation at the SG Cowen 25th Annual Healthcare Conference on Wednesday, March 16, 2005. The presentation is scheduled to begin at 2:20 p.m. ET. Kathy Ordoñez, President of Celera Genomics and Celera Diagnostics, will provide an overview of both businesses.
