Celera Genomics Appoints John Reynders as Vice President, Information Systems

Celera Genomics (NYSE: CRA), an Applera Corporation business announced today that John Reynders has been appointed as vice president, information systems.
With more than 18 years of experience in high performance computing, Mr. Reynders’ expertise will be utilized to lead the development and implementation of information systems strategies. Celera’s powerful computing infrastructure will continue to play a central role as Celera evolves to become a leading therapeutic and diagnostic discovery company.
Prior to joining Celera, Mr. Reynders worked at Sun Microsystems, Inc. in their high performance computing area, and at Los Alamos National Laboratory where he managed multiple high performance computing projects, developed strategic simulation capabilities and managed the largest dedicated unclassified super computer in the United States.
Mr. Reynders obtained his undergraduate degree in mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Ph.D. in applied and computational mathematics from Princeton University.
